Fundraising Concert organized by the Rotract Club of Westminster
The Embassy of El Salvador in London, has the pleasure to inform you of the Fundraising Rotaract project "A Bridge for El Salvador," with all proceeds going to the construction of a footbridge in the community of Cuisnahuat, Sonsonate.

NEW LIGHT ON THE MAYA COLLAPSE AND CONQUEST
It is a great honor to inform you that on November 6th, there will be a lecture entitled "New Light on the Maya Collapse and Conquest". This lecture aims to demonstrate that the Maya collapse did no to occur as previously believed by the proponents of the 'collapse and environmental degradation' enthusiasts.

SURFACE DESIGN AT BRAND LICENSING EUROPE 2008
Emma Schonenberg, from M. ily Designs, participated in "Brand Licensing Europe 2008" with a portfolio of more than 700 patterns.
Even though Emma has been involved in the licensing world for only 2 years, she has been able to license her work in the USA. She has developed a vast amount of collections including one for a party supply company, and more than 20 collections for a digital scrapbooking company. She has also had her work used as packaging for diverse produces and published in one of the USA's leading greeting magazines.
During her visit to London, she exhibited her work at the fair: "Brand Licensing Europe 2008" held at the Grand Hall Olympia throughout the 1st & 2nd of October where her work had a very good impression on its attendees. Only a week has passed and she is following up on important contacts made at the show as well as negotiating the publication of her designs in a digital magazine that specializes in making cards. She will be preparing for product development with this client.

THE ANGLO LATIN AMERICAN FOUNDATION (ALAF)
This years ALAF Party will be held in Kensington Town Hall on Saturday 18th October, to fundraise for the children of Latin America.
At this fiesta, visitors will have the opportunity to savour food and drink from all parts of South and Central America, and Mexico, to buy their craft products and to listen to Tangos from Argentina, Samba from Brazil, Cumbias from Colombia, Devil Dances from Bolivia and Mariachis from Mexico.
